Responsible to: Centre Manger
Principal Contracts: Tutors, Assessors, Administrators and Operations Directors
Location: Roles based in Central and Greater London, Kent, Essex & West Midlands
The purpose of the position
This role will include attending to visitors and dealing with enquiries on the phone and face to face, together with supplying information regarding the organisation to the public, clients and customers.
Principle duties and responsibilities:
- Monitoring visitor access and maintain security awareness
- Providing correct Information and Guidance to ensure that telephone and walk in enquiries are dealt with promptly and appropriately.
- Answering the telephone, screening, and directing calls and relaying messages
- Ensuring the office resources are monitored, maintained and managed
- Support clients with booking enquiries.
- Ensuring that the building and facilities are maintained to enable The Skills Centre staff, visitors, and users to work safely and effectively
- Providing general administrative support
- Receiving and sorting mail and deliveries
- Organising relevant office events and arranging refreshments/catering for meetings/events when necessary
- Coordinating and managing weekly team meetings
- Updating the jobs board
- Providing refreshments to visitors and arrange catering for meetings and events
- To carry out any other duties that are within the employee’s skills and abilities wherever reasonably instructed
Key experience, knowledge and skills
- Previous experience of working in an office environment preferred
- A good understanding of The Skills Centre’s products and services.
- Customer focused with strong communication skills both in person and on the telephone
- Driven and motivated by results
- Excellent communication skills both in writing and on the telephone
- Organised with good attention to detail
- Self-motivated and with the ability to spot new opportunities
- Ability to problem solve and multi-tasking
Qualification and training required
- GCSE English and Maths A-C or equivalent
- IT literate including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
