This course is a refresher for those holding an SSSTS certificate. Designed to update learners on any relevant developments and changes across health and safety requirements. The one day course must be attended every 5 years in order to remain certified.
Who is the SSSTS Refresher suitable for?
The SSSTS refresher course is for candidates who have completed the five day Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) Course, since 1st January 2001 and those whose SSSTS certificate is due to expire.

Course Content
The Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme Refresher course aims to:
• Improve awareness of recent developments in construction, legislation and health, safety, welfare and environmental issues.
• Identify measures that will assist the practical implementation of responsibilities established by new legislation and new working practices.

The SSSTS refresher includes:

-Risk assessments and Safe Systems of Work
-COSHH assessments and regulations

Cost of the course
The cost of the course is typically £185.00.
Teaching and Assessment
The SSSTS refresher course involves classroom based tutorials with group discussions including best practice sharing, syndicate exercises and case studies.
Candidates will be continuously assessed throughout the SSSTS refresher course in preparation for the final multiple choice exam.
Certification
Candidates who successfully complete the course will receive a CITB approved certificate in Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme which is valid for five years.
Please note:
Only those candidates who can provide evidence of completing an existing Site Supervision certificate before attending the course are eligible to attend the refresher course.
Certification
The candidate will achieve a CITB renewable 5-year Site Safety Plus certificate.
Mandatory Entry Requirements
The candidate must be able to read, write and understand English at a good level.
If the candidate needs to re-sit the test, they must do this within 90 days of the original course date (at an additional cost)
The candidate must provide a valid ID on the first day of the course, a copy of passport or driving licence will be sufficient.
